wacky Wednesday...

so here's my randoms for the week...

I've had my new iPhone 4 for a few weeks now!  and I love it!  I've heard about all the "issues" people are having with the antennae and reception with it.  but, thankfully, I haven't had any issues.  although if I did, I could get something like this for my iPhone!  a freaking iPhone band-aid!  hahaha!!

I'm not too sure how I feel about this next thing...I guess it could be good if your kid does get lost but some creep could use it too...but anyhow, here we have "The Tat That Brings Kids Back!"

and lastly, who wouldn't want to play around with Post-Its?  even a Marilyn Monroe Post-It picture!

some happenings as of late...

I was home this past weekend.  It was my mom's birthday, my 9 year sobriety anniversary and my little sister's birthday!  while I was home, my mom, dad, little brother and I went to the shooting range and shot my gun for a while...

also, while I was home, my mom and I did some crafting/painting.  not only did we make me the cutest wreath for my front door, we painted an old ladder she found laying around for my back yard!

 

and since I now have this new obsession with all things gardening and plants, I bought this plant this weekend and it's now sitting on my kitchen table...

I just hope I don't kill it...

now I have so many shows on my DVR to catch up on so it's TV time :)

Tuesday Toss-Up

here's a few randoms I've found throughout the past few weeks...(and don't ask me how I find crap like this!)

a hodgepodge of sorts...

so much going on lately...I love my new house just as much as I did the day I moved in.  and the boys still love it!  especially the back yard.  check out Rex...

 his favorite thing to do every time we go outside...sun bathe!

and recently at a friend's house, I was reminded of how much Bo loves playing in the water...

it's hard to tell, but he is jumping up trying to attack/eat the water from the sprinkler!

the flowers I planted are started to grow.  there are a few seeds that have just begun budding.  and my tomatoes too...

 I can't wait to have some homegrown tomatoes!

nothing much more to say...it's been a super lazy day for me on the couch...oh, but I did get out this morning and buy a new comforter for my bed and I can't wait to sleep in my bed tonight!

so much going on...

a lot has happened in the past month.  I actually decided to not buy a house and just lease.  if things break or something happens, I have a landlord to fix it and it's just easier overall to continue to leave.  so, with that being said, I have signed a lease in Robinson, Texas!  I'm moving next month into a brand-spanking-new duplex - three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big back yard and a two car garage.  I'm super excited and so are the boys!

since I'm moving, and will have a yard, I want to get another dog.  a bigger one.  a German Shepherd.  but I want to rescue one.  even if it's a mix.  and today I went to the Waco Humane Society to meet one of the dogs with my boys.  unfortunately, it wasn't going to work out between the three dogs, but tomorrow I am going to meet another German Shepherd mix rescue pup.  I really hope it works out!

I do have to say it was really hard being at the animal shelter today.  as I walked down the aisle of kennels, I felt like every dog was staring at me and yelling "please pick me, please, please, please."  it was so hard to not take every single last one of them home with me.  really hard.

time to watch the Blind Side though...good night :)

nothing special

I know it's been a while (like a week or something) but I really don't have anything worth writing about. 

I did get my hair cut, and I love it.
My Grandma turned 90 yesterday!
Bo got a haircut today...he really needed it!
and I've got a four day weekend coming up!

but, otherwise, my life is just like always...sleep and work.  and I'm not complaining, I love it :)

I seem to always find really weird, random, sometimes cool stuff on the internet.  I always bookmark what I find and when I think about it and have enough, I post them here to share!  hope you enjoy all the randomness...

I obviously have an obsession...

but we already knew that.  yes, I have many obsessions.  most of them come and go.  like phases.  for example, reading.  I am obsessed with reading, love reading, get excited to read.  but not all the time.  every once in a while I'll get into a reading mood and read book after book after book.  them BAM! nothing for a while.  as of late though, I'm on the obsessive reading side of things.  I'm onto my third book of the week!  whatever, I hope it lasts because I have a plethora of books to read!
other things I'm obsessed with include: elephants, Marilyn Monroe, my boys!, watching certain TV shows (Desperate Housewives, 16 & Pregnant, House, Burn Notice, Kell on Earth, The Little Couple, The Millionaire Matchmaker, and Undercover Boss - and yes, they are all on my DVR and I watch them all!), cleaning (yes, I love it)

things that come and go in obsessiveness: painting/crafting, of course reading, painting my toe nails/getting pedicures, playing WordWarp on my phone, and I'm sure there are many more!

but at least for now it's just reading and the 'normal' everyday things! 

and now I've got to go get my windshield checked out...I'm pretty sure the damn snow and cold weather caused the crack in it!  ughhhh....

another craft project

I recently found a website with cute stuff and craft ideas.  while browsing, I came across this and just had to make one for myself!  I went by Hobby Lobby today after work and got some yarn, a wreath and felt and came home and got straight to work.  I need to make more little pom poms, but so far here's what I got...

I chose red, black and purple yarn to match my living room as I have black leather couches and red and purple accent pillows!  I can't wait to get it finished and hang it up!
