it's beach week at Dogtopia this week and the boys loved their day at daycare!

it's just another Manic Monday!!!

ok, so I had a pretty crazy, event-filled weekend this past weekend! as you know, Saturday I went and looked a bike, bought it and picked it up Sunday! I love it! Here it is...

I definitely plan on riding it around Waco soon. as soon as it cools off...and I get the carrier in the mail I ordered for my boys! it's pink too and fits on the handlebars somehow, but both my boys get to ride around Waco with me! they are so excited :)

Kari also bought a bike on Sunday so we're planning lots of rides together soon.

in other news, I have a friend staying with me until she gets her own place (which will be Wednesday now because she found a house!) and Rex is such a bully! he usually likes everyone and every dog he has met (maybe not at first, but he always warms up). and my friend, Raquel, has two puppys staying with her at my place and Rex does not like them! the two girls are so precious and have been trying so hard to be nice to Rex, but everytime they come near him, he runs off towards them barking, with a horrible mean look on his face! he even went up to their kennel while they were hanging out in it (to be away from my dogs for a bit) and started barking at the door of it for no reason! he has been so bad lately. but he is still sooooo cute, gotta love him :) now Bo on the other hand, could really just care less. he's just glad he has more playmates around!

Wet N' Wild Day at Dogtopia!

today at Dogtopia was Wet N' Wild Day! my boys had so much fun! they got to play in kiddie pools, a sprinkler and even even got doggie ice cream! apparently Rex wasn't too thrilled with the water but Bo loved it! they were super exhausted when we got home!

i realize i haven't posted anything with much substance lately 'cuz i've been really busy. soon, i promise. this next week i'm heading home for a few days then to Louisiana to stay with my best friend, Amanda. i'm super excited to get away for a little while and especially to see Amanda since i haven't seen her since her wedding over a year ago. i'm sure i'll some exciting stuff to post when i get back!

in other news, a friend of mine and i took our dogs to the Waco Humane Society today to get them microchipped. so now Bo and Rex are identifiable if they ever leave me (and God forbid they do)! it actually didn't hurt them at all. i just feel a lot better now having that done.

it's not too late (and a Saturday night) but i'm super exhausted so i'm off to bed now. have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

i've got quite a bit here...

first of all, i hope you all had a wonderful Easter. i sure did :)

i spent the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) in San Marcos with my family. My little sister got confirmed and baptized in the Catholic Church, here. it was so awesome to see her do this, while it was something she was really into. she looked beautiful!

Our whole family (ok, almost all of them!) were there for the ceremony, including her boyfriend's whole family. afterwards, we went back to the hotel we were all staying at, we were exhausted after the looonnnnggg ceremony. but all were up again the next morning. we had a great lunch and then i headed back to Waco. my cutie little pups were exhausted, but Bo has always refused to even sit down in the car on trips. but Rex still tried to get some rest...


in other news...

while i was in San Marcos, i spent a little time with my sister in her [messy] dorm room. we were watching What Not To Wear and this was said by one of the hosts...

what the hell was she thinking?!?! i think that comment was absolutely uncalled for and ridiculous. is she saying that anyone who doesn't dress like they have a million dollars is on food stamps?!?! i was really offended by this comment, since i work with lots and lots of women who are on food stamps and are still wonderful people. and some of them even dress nice!

i love the Bluebonnets!

yesterday i took my boys (a some friends) to take pictures in the bluebonnets! i love this time of year when the bluebonnets can be found just about everywhere. the boys weren't too concerned with picture taking though...they really just wanted to eat them!

yes, my dogs are spoiled, and i'm ok with that :)

so you know Bo had surgery this past Friday and he is recovering, right? well, to help along the recovery process, Mr. Bo had a massage yesterday! i know it sounds crazy, dogs and massages, but i truly think Bo enjoyed it and it made him much more relaxed. He got the massage at Dogtopia, with a lady that is a licensed massage therapist! check out her website!

Bo will definitely get another one too after he gets his stitches removed and is back to his 'normal' self!

bo is recovering well!

so as most of you know, bo had surgery this past Friday afternoon here (it's a great, nice place and the people there are wonderful, i would recommend them to anyone). he had what's called patella luxation in his right hind leg. almost 2 years ago he had this same surgery on his left hind leg. he did really well, although he is still a little groggy and i'm sure in some pain. rex is taking good care of him though. here's a few pictures of my little baby and his brother...

i took this picture right after i got back in the car from dropping bo off for surgery. i think rex was a little depressed since bo didn't come back with me.

and here's a close-up of bo's knee. it actually looks really good and clean.

so obviously bo got a hair cut. at daycare this past Wednesday, i had them shave this whole body (except his head!) so when he had the surgery he wouldn't be a scroungy looking. and of course they shaved his whole back quarter, including his tail and butt! he looks just pitiful!

he should recover quickly, he did last time! and sooner then later he'll be back to his old self, running around and chasing balls!

so Bo and Rex had their dog party at Dogtopia last Saturday! They had sooo much fun!

I didn't get too many good pictures (the dogs were all over the place and completely uninterested in taking pictures). But they had lots of their friends there, played games, and wore themselves out.

now it's Friday night...

and i'm at a friend's house dog/house sitting. i'm kinda bored too. it's just weird not being at my own house and the fact that i am here with no one else but four dogs! yes, four dogs! a huge Great Dane, two Chihuahuas, and a Yorkie. oh and a cat! but everyone seems to be getting along for the most part. there are a few growls and hisses every once in a while, but other than that, we're all good :) Bo is actually doing better here around the Great Dane than he ever has before.

i'm super exhausted (even though i did get a great, long nap after work) so i'm about to go get in bed, curl up with the book i'm reading right now, and hopefully sleep good tonight. i have to get up early tomorrow (on a Saturday and my only day off this week) so an early bed time sounds really good right about now.

oh, and guess what?!?! Bo and Rex went to Dogtopia this past Tuesday for Yorkshire Kingdom day (they have dog breed days every once in while; and yes, Rex went too even though it was Yorkie day, i couldn't leave him home alone while his brother had fun!) and Bo won a full day of daycare at the half day price! go BO!!! i'm so glad a place like Dogtopia is available here in Waco and my dogs absolutely love going there. they have so much fun and are exhausted when they get home!

my own fruit roll-ups!

so this past Friday UPS came by my place but i missed them, as i was in Dallas with Bo. they left their standard note and on it they put that the package was from 'my fruit roll-ups.' i thought that was really odd since i don't remember ever ordering anything fruit roll-up. i finally got the package yesterday and still thought it was really odd. but, i opened the box anyways and found a huge box filled with fruit roll-ups. i still thought this was super odd but i wasn't going to let these things go to waste so i quickly stuffed one in my mouth not thinking anything about it.

later i was talking to my mom and started to tell her about this weird happening with the fruit roll-ups. she started laughing and asked if i had paid any attention to them. i told her no and she immediately told me to go over to them, open one up and look at it.

omg. i did and guess what!?!?! my dogs picture was on them with the sayings 'happy valentine's day' and 'hugs and kisses!' i was so surprised!! my mom said they were from my boys - via her of course!

so now i have personalized fruit roll-ups! who would've thought!!

the world keeps on turning...

and i'm stuck in bed. i have the damn flu. i've been in bed since this last Friday night and am still in bed today. right now. the doctor said i can't go back to work until Thursday, so at least i'm almost done with this mess. i feel so gross.

on the bright side, Bo and Rex won a dog party at Dogtopia! yes, my dogs are hosting a party for their dog friends! it's Saturday, February 28th and they boys can't wait. they are a little upset with me though because they didn't go to Dogtopia today. i'm sick. can't help it.

and more about the boys...Bo has an appointment in Dallas with a doggy surgeon Friday. the same one he went to maybe a year ago for one of his knees. i really hope he doesn't need the surgery again on the other knee, but something tells me it's gonna happen. Bo does not like walking around on three legs.

i haven't been to work since last Thursday and though i never thought i would say this...i kinda miss work! i know there's gonna be so much for me to do tomorrow (i'm crossing my fingers it is tomorrow) when i go back. we'll see...

my babies needs some lovin'

today i took my pups, Bo and Rex, to the vet for their yearly check-ups and some shots. overall, the vet said they were both in really good shape and health. but...Rex needs to loose a little weight (he does have a little chunk in the belly!), and Bo has a little bit of tonsillitis! poor babies! that's not it though. about a year and a half ago, Bo had surgery on his left knee because it constantly popped out of place and he would walk on three legs when it did this. well, now the right knee is doing the same thing and the vet said he most likely will need the surgery again. the vet said we need to get rid of his tonsillitis (which he has had like 3 times in the past year...i hope he doesn't eventually need surgery to take his tonsils out!) and then get him scheduled for knee surgery. omg. i think i have the world's most expensive dogs.

but, on the bright side, Rex is now dieting with his mother (and we're working on his poop eating problem)! i have complete faith in my pups that things will go well with them. they have such strong souls and are fighters! plus, Rex really only needs to loose about 2 lbs. he can do it :)
