that isn't marriage, finding a life-long partner, just like buying a new car?
yes, this is what I've been thinking about lately. I'm just not so sure how to articulate this so it doesn't sound ridiculous!
anyhow, it all started when I made the comment to someone saying "you have to test drive the car before you buy it" in regards to sex before marriage. I have thought this to be true (and especially so after a high school friend's mom told me so, haha!). but...after thinking about this I realized something...
I did NOT test drive my current car (Chrysler 300) before I bought it!
I went to the dealership, knowing exactly what I wanted and had previously told the sales guy on the phone, and the sales guy had one waiting for me to look at up front when I arrived. I literally sat in the driver's seat of the car and immediately said "I love it, I'll take it!" no test driving, no anything. and I still love my car 1.5 years later.
so, after making this comment and remembering my most recent car buying experience, I started thinking...
do you really need to test drive the car before you buy it?!?!?!
wow :)
