Singles Awareness Day 2010

yet another Valentine's Day single.  but I'm really not bummed about it.  my mom has always done a good job with us kids about making every holiday special.  even Valentine's Day.  so for me, Valentine's Day is not just about having a significant other to gush about but also to remember your other loves like family.  and my mom did not forget my dogs and I this year...

in other news, Waco has been super cold lately.  you probably have already heard about all the snow the south got, especially the Dallas area, but here's a few pics of the Waco area snow.

 

 

I got off work early, due to the snow, and this was what Downtown Waco looked like on my way home!  beautiful!!

and on another random note, I've never really been too into the Winter Olympics but I've been watching it all so far this year.  I still like the Summer Olympics better, but the Winter Olympics aren't bad at all :)

another year!

yesterday was my 26th birthday! and it was great. my mom came to town Wednesday night and stayed the night, as did my good friend, Dick. It was so great to spend my birthday with two people who mean a lot to me. Wednesday night we watched Marley and Me. amazing movie. definitely a tear-jerker. I had already read the book though, so I knew what was going to happen.

I took the day off work Thursday to spend my birthday with my mom and friends. it was great to have a relaxing day shopping, eating, watching tv, and not worrying about everything else!

and here's a wonderful quote from Marley and Me...

I know it's been a little bit since I've posted. And honestly, I don't have too much to say at this point. But this past weekend my MOM was here! I was so glad that she came to hang out with me. We had so much fun.

On a side note, I'm sick, or something. My sinuses are really bad right now and I can't get any relief. I've taken all sorts of meds but nothing has helped. Oh well. Hopefully I'll get better soon.

And that's it for now...boring, I know, but I've gotta get some sleep :)
