I had a great day today getting pedicures and going shopping with friends. these last few weeks at work have been very hectic, so it was nice to relax. and I've been good on my promise to myself to do no online shopping! now, I did bid on an auction online, but it benefits the Family Abuse Center (where I work!) so I think it's ok!

anyhow, here's some random photos I've found recently...

is online shopping. I've shared this before. I've also given it up for periods of time before. which is exactly what I'm planning on doing now. I've really gotta work on saving money and cutting back, especially if I plan on buying a house next year!

so, for the next TWO WEEKS, yes 14 DAYS, I am not going to buy anything online! seriously. it might not be easy for me to accomplish, but I plan on really trying and following through! I'll let you know how that goes...

what a day!

today was a crazy busy day at work! I did an interview with a client for Baylor's Focus magazine. during the interview, a client fell on the concrete outside, hitting her head. a client who saw the fall started banging on my office window so I excused myself and hurried outside. I held the clients head still until the ambulance arrived and went back to the interview. a little bit later, I got this horrible headache, that I still have. things did not slow down for me at work but I am home now watching the season premier of House (I DVRed it!) and I bought this super cute headband online at JCrew...


I cannot wait to get it in the mail and wear it!

online shopping...

ok, so i definitely made it through that one week of no online shopping i promised myself a while ago. but, since then, i have shopped online...

i bought one of those EASY BUTTONS from Staples! one for myself, my friend Taryn, and my momma. and i just bought a few things from Coach.

i can't wait to get these sunglasses in the mail!

and tomorrow i'm off to San Marcos with some friends to go shopping at the outlet mall and IKEA!!!

one week...7 days

i've decided to see if i can go ONE WEEK without shopping online. yes. online shopping. none.

you see, i have this obsession with online shopping. i do it ALL the time. i think i would honestly rather shop online than go to the actual store. i love it. and, 99% the time, i get free shipping, plus it's really easy to find coupons online for use online! also, most places i shop at online offer free shipping back to them for returns. what a deal! for example...last week, i online shopped with Clinique and Barnes and Noble. the week before it was Best Buy and EBay. i can't get enough. i really don't have all the money to be doing this and there really isn't anything i NEED, i just like shopping online.

so i've decided it's time for a break. no online shopping for at least a week. so not until at least next Monday, April 27th. i haven't really decided what my reward would be if i succeed. i was thinking that a fun online shopping spree would be great as a reward but doesn't that sort of defeat the whole purpose?!?!? and what happens if i break down and buy something online??? i don't know about that either. i just know i'm gonna try really really hard to not shop online. i'm gonna try and not even look at the websites that i love to shop at. i can't promise that will part will happen, but i'm promising myself NO ONLINE SHOPPING FOR A WEEK!!!
